The sermon “Devoted to Truth” from 1 Timothy 1:1–11 emphasizes that a healthy church must remain firmly grounded in biblical truth. Paul instructs Timothy to confront false teaching, avoid meaningless arguments and distractions, and protect the church from ideas that distort Scripture and divide believers. What we believe matters because it shapes how we live, but truth must always be expressed with love. Just as warning someone not to eat a poisonous mushroom is an act of love, Christians are called to lovingly speak and live out biblical truth even when it is unpopular. A healthy church defends truth, rejects empty distractions, and keeps Jesus and the gospel at the center.
